The living room brings together a restrained palette of natural tones, textured surfaces and personal details, creating a space that feels warm, relaxed and deeply connected to the family. Custom-designed furniture, including microtopped coffee and side tables, lends a grounded, understated quality to the interiors, while the use of natural materials keeps the space tactile and inviting. A particularly meaningful feature is the collection of eight bespoke artworks, each reflecting a memory, milestone or story close to the family's heart.

From personal symbols and childhood references to significant family moments, these pieces bring an intimate layer of storytelling into the home. Large openings and carefully placed green pockets further strengthen the connection between the living spaces and the garden, allowing nature to remain a constant presence indoors.

The kitchen, originally a closed-off space, was opened up to become part of the home's social heart. Finished entirely in black, it offers a striking contrast to the otherwise light and neutral palette, bringing a sense of warmth and intimacy. The adjoining dining area features custom-designed furniture and connects the everyday rituals of cooking, eating and gathering.

Designed around Malhaar's curiosity and imagination, the room brings together sensory play, exploration and independent discovery. A rainbow-inspired palette, custom pull-out bed, climbing ladder and Montessori-inspired bookshelves and storage create an environment that can evolve with her. Every element was considered to encourage play while giving her the freedom to explore the space at her own pace.

The garden was envisioned as an extension of the home, with a series of intimate nooks for different moments through the day. A central Tabebuia tree, flowering Bougainvillea and layered tropical planting create a changing landscape through the seasons, while the custom-cast Gotai bench and extendable pergola make room for everything from quiet mornings to evening gatherings. The idea was to create a little ecosystem that invites birds, insects and everyday encounters with nature.
